Think Before Choosing a Free Host

I guess it is the beginning of your journey as you are looking for a free hoisting. I was started with this free hosting from yahoo geocities and a .tk domain in the online world and passed a long way after that. I knew that someday I am going to have .com domain with a paid hosting and here I am using it now in name cheap.

Anyway when you are looking for a free hosting then you have to know that you can’t host their forever. It’s free for a certain time. Now many hosting says that you can host for free as long as you wish. Just don’t believe that. I have far better experiences than you (newbie) about the free hosting thing.

There are several hosting companies in the web that will give you the chance to host your site for free. The space and the bandwidth will be limited, again some of them will put advert in your hosted site to meet up the expenses.

So, when you are going to choose a hosting then choose very carefully and don’t forget to read the terms and condition. Always remember that free hosting is also a business and there is no free lunch in this whole world. So before looking for a free hosting in Google keep in mind these things:-

1. What kind of website you are going to make? Will it need the mysql or databases? Even some free hosting gives that too.
2. If you are not familiar with the database thing then do look for the drag and drop website builder.
3. How much space will you need for your hosting? Don’t just go and jump for a hosting that will not give you spaces and bandwidth you need.
4. Are you comfortable with ftp and cPanel? Look for those free hosting in Google.

There are some community hosting that provides hosting to its community members and you need to active in their forums or board to have the free hosting.

Lastly, I am started to talk about hosting and will let you know about different free hosting sites and their services, but it is better to know that free hosting is always risky- because it is free and the providers are not bound to you for anything.

This blog: “smskotha.com” was once in the free hosting of byet host – one of the best free cPanel hosting but one day morning I found that they deactivated my account. Now I was surprised and thought this was going to happen. But what was the reason I don’t know. The blog was small and there weren’t so many visitors like now, so there shouldn’t be anything wrong. Anyway I get away with that. Paid is better than the free for a professional. And if you are going to stay here for a long time then search for the paid hosting not for the free ones.
